Emily Ingram, a senior at Nebraska, has had three copy-editing internships: the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Lincoln Journal Star. She was also president of the Nebraska’s ACES chapter. As one of her professors says, Ingram has “done it all.” Ingram creates Web sites, uses social media such as Twitter routinely and has been the online editor of the student newspaper.
“She’s a news junkie,” said professor Sue Burzynski Bullard. “She gets excited about telling stories across many platforms.”
