Pam Robinson is the co-founder, with Hank Glamann, of the American Copy Editors Society and served as its first president until 2001. ACES’ Robinson Prize is named for her.
Robinson is associate regional editor for Patch Long Island and has worked for the Los Angeles Times-Washington Post News Service, based at Newsday on Long Island, Danbury News-Times, Hartford Courant, New London Day, Newsday, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and ABC News. She also spent a year working for a refugee resettlement program at the National Council of Churches. She has a language-related blog, Words at Work.
