Deirdre Goebel Edgar, a director for the ACES Education Fund since 2010, has been active in the American Copy Editors Society since 1998. She served as vice/president conferences for ACES from 2004 to 2010 and was a member of its board for eight years.
Deirdre is the readers’ representative of the Los Angeles Times, where she has worked, almost continuously, since 1999. She previously was national copy desk chief at the Times, and held copy editing positions at The Oregonian, The Arizona Republic and The Orange County Register.
