Learn, share and collaborate on journalism's future with leaders
at the 2008 national conference April 10-12 in Denver

Revised lineup of sessions (Updated 3/25)

What does the future hold for editors of the printed word? This is one of the many questions copy editors face in a future of changing operations, dwindling resources and shrinking print revenue. Join colleagues from across the country — and mediums — at the ACES national conference in Denver.

Each time when I have returned to work, my boss notices a change for the better! The conferences always get me jazzed about journalism again. — Melissa Murdza, Stars and Stripes

The 2008 meeting, April 10-12, will feature the fundamentals of the craft and a primer for what's to come. Each year, more than 500 copy desk executives, professionals, students and academics come together for three days of lectures, discussions and more. Why not you? Be a part of this brave new world with the industry's best and brightest. Be a part of ACES 12th annual conference.

BOOK THAT HOTEL: Remember that in order to lock in the ACES rate, you must reserve your room by March 19. Details are to your right.

GETTING INVOLVED

There are several ways you could help ACES put on a great conference:

  • If you're interested in joining the planning committee, contact Deirdre Edgar, vice president of conferences
  • To donate the silent auction, a conference favorite, e-mail executive board member Scott Toole. Proceeds from the auction benefit the ACES Education Fund.
  • And we're always on the lookout for new seminars to help copy editors of all ages and levels. If you have an idea for what should be presented in Denver, click here.
  • If you're in a leadership role at your paper, or know a boss who's a fan of ACES, consider making your publication a sponsor.
