The ACES: The Society for Editing welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors, the elected body that manages the society.

Maisha Maurant and Heather Saunders were elected to the board for the first time, and incumbents Nick Jungman and Sam Enslen were also re-elected to the at-large seats in the 2017 election.

Incumbent treasurer Sara Ziegler was re-elected, and Neil Holdway was elected to secretary. Both ran unopposed.

Voting was conducted by online ballot from Feb. 15 to March 1, with all full, corporate and student members as of Feb. 1, 2016, eligible to vote.

Maurant is the chief corporate editor and chief of website content for Health Alliance Plan, where she manages strategists, writers and graphic designers to develop internal and external communications.

Saunders, who owns Just the Write Type Editing, specializes in editing and proofreading science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medical projects.

The new posts begin at the end of ACES 21st national conference on Saturday and run through the end of the 2019 conference.
