The American Copy Editors Society (ACES) is entering into a partnership with the Journalism & Women Symposium (JAWS). The partnership will offer ACES members admission to JAWS conferences and workshops and entry into any JAWS contests at JAWS member rates. Equally, JAWS members will be able to register for ACES conferences and workshops, and to enter any ACES contests at ACES member rates.
Members from both organizations will have the opportunity to attend and present at one-day training tracks at the other’s national conferences.
“JAWS is an amazing organization that has an excellent history of advocacy, education and mentorship. Our alliance is a great opportunity for ACES to extend our training reach,” said Teresa Schmedding, ACES president.
Becky Day, executive director of JAWS, said, “JAWS is delighted to be partnering with ACES and the professionalism and excellence in editing and journalism that the organization represents. We look forward to collaborating on trainings and events that will benefit members of both [groups].”
