The star-studded lineup of speakers included
the "Editing the Future" panel of newspaper industry leaders, who discussed
upholding the craft in changing times. The poolside reception, ballroom banquet and
nightclub "wrap" party added a touch of glitz befitting the Tinseltown
location. And Hank Glamann's farewell address and a record-breaking silent auction
provided some drama.
Much of the action is chronicled in the
nearly 20 stories and more than 200 photos on these Web pages. Construction is now
complete, so grab a beverage, kick back and start exploring.
Recent changes include:
The addition of photo galleries from conference
activities and the Saturday night social event.
A total revamp of the headline contest pages to
add the complete list of headlines from the winning and runner-up entries, more photos
of the winners and images of some of the best heads. Also, you can download a copy
of the headline PowerPoint presentation shown at the awards ceremony.
An overhaul of the "Editing the Future"
coverage, including more photos.
A gallery of photos from the silent auction and
a feature story on the bidding.
A photo gallery from the banquet and additional
photos on the page with the text of Glamann's keynote speech.
Stories on some of the presentations, with valuable
training tips.
So enjoy the coverage and start planning
now to attend the next ACES conference, April 20-22, 2006, in Cleveland!
